Inflation for Home Health Rates Effective July 1, 2021

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform you that effective July 1, 2021 the rates for home health providers will be increased to reflect a 2.3% inflation adjustment. This action is in accordance with 12VAC30-80-180 of the Virginia Administrative Code that mandates the annual inflation adjustment for home health providers. Home health rates are located on the Rate Setting website at https://www.dmas.virginia.gov/for-providers/general-information/rate-setting/ under the home health heading.

Managed Care Programs

Medallion 4.0, Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus (CCC Plus), and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).  In order to be reimbursed for services provided to a managed care enrolled individual, providers must follow their respective contract with the managed care plan/PACE provider.  The managed care plan may utilize different guidelines than those described for Medicaid fee-for-service individuals.
